We take our warranty commitment seriously. Therefore, we carefully inspect and evaluate each project prior to providing a quote. The existing conditions and the design of a new system must be evaluated to determine the risk involved in offering a warranty. Roofing material manufacturers have established specifications and installation guidelines that we must follow. This brings certainty to the qualities of the roof system and our ability to offer a warranty. 

Most standard roof systems installed by Marlin Construction come with a Ten Year Leak Free Warranty.

For added peace of mind we offer the customer the opportunity to include an NDL warranty - No Dollar Limit Warranties (NDL) – these warranties are provided by the manufacturer through our certifications with the manufacturer. NDL warranties can be up to 30 years, include materials and labor to repair a warranty issue and are not prorated.

Approval of NDL warranties is based on roof system design and manufacture’s guidelines.

The Marlin Construction Service Department is ready to respond with 24-hour emergency roof service, repairs on all roofs and preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of your roof. We offer free estimate and budget assistance for upcoming replacements. We also offer true roof cost reports which analyze energy savings with roof replacements using energy saving materials.

Preventive Maintenance Agreements

Preventive maintenance is the key to making a roof last longer. Marlin Construction offers preventive maintenance programs to proactively keep your roof functioning throughout its service life. The goal is to identify problems before they become expensive repairs, maximize the life expectancy of your roof and assist in evaluating repair-replacement needs.

Protect Your Building and Extend the Life of Your Roof

Leaks that are left unattended can cause significant damage to roofing materials and structural components well beyond damage to interior finishes and impact on usable space inside the building.

Marlin's Preventive Maintenance Agreements offer a proactive approach to identifying and repairing leaks before they become active or cause widespread damage. Potential leaks identified early cause less damage and cost significantly less to repair.

Recommended Preventive Maintenance Services

In keeping with manufacturer's warranty requirement for regular maintenance, Marlin Construction recommends that Preventive Maintenance work occur quarterly. Generally this would include visually inspecting the roof system and adjacent surfaces such as:

• Membrane seams
• Flashings
• HVAC curbs / flashings
• Penetration applications
• Storm damage

Marlin Construction specializes in exposed fastener (PBR – Panels) and Standing Seam roof systems. These roof systems require a minimum 3/12 pitch and are available in a variety of colors, styles and thicknesses (gauge).

Exposed Fastener Roof Systems are the most popular metal roofs in Texas and Louisiana. Their low cost and long life span are what make these roofs so popular. However, the expansion and contraction caused by changes in temperatures require that fasteners be maintained throughout the life of the roof.  

Standing Seam Roof Systems have concealed fastening systems and are regarded as having the longest life span of any roof system. Standing seam is an excellent choice for the customer that wants the architectural design features that this roof offers.

A large portion of our commercial business at Marlin Construction is comprised of TPO roofs. As a certified installer with WeatherBond and Versico, we are able to provide the highest warranty level available in the industry, ensuring our customers 100% satisfaction of their roofs for years to come.

TPO formulation is based on advanced polymerization technology that combines the flexibility of ethylene-propylene (EP) rubber with the heat weldability of polypropylene. Physical properties of the membrane are enhanced by a strong polyester fabric that is encapsulated between the TPO-based top and bottom plies.

The combination of the fabric and TPO plies provides reinforced membranes with:

• High breaking strength
• Tearing strength
• Puncture resistance

The relatively smooth surface of the membrane produces a total surface fusion weld that creates a consistent, watertight monolithic roof assembly. The membrane is environmentally friendly and safe to install.
